RE: Patient Education Tool
Aurora I send to you what I have tomorrow. I know I sent to her the new faces scale. If she does not have it
then by all means we need a new one for the admission books. Do you have it revised. The champions
meeting is full but do bring it.

What one page sheet is this? Can you send me a copy? Monique McCollum sent one to me that is going in
the new books, but it was the old teaching sheet (revised 2009) with the old faces scale on it. She said
that was the only thing she had.

You can bring but just to let you know. We have had a one page sheet that has been with the admission packets.
It has just recently been revised and is almost ready for the brand new patient admission books. Were you
looking for just your unit.

Barb,

I'm working on that revision of the patient pain education booklet we discussed at our last meeting. I want
to try to pare the booklet down to a single page teaching tool that can be placed inside a patient's
welcome packet and used to give them some basic information about pain control and their options. I've
attached an initial draft and would love some feedback.

Also, I'd like to bring this to the Pain Committee to get their thoughts. Any chance I could get on the
agenda for Wednesday, or do I need to wait until February?

Thank you!
