     The acceptance of documents required for issue of conviction status certificates takes place
every working day from 9.30 a. m. to 11.00 a. m. and from 2.00 p. m. to 3.00 p. m.
     Central Conviction Records Office at the Ministry of Justice issues conviction status
certificates and information on conviction status for persons born abroad or with unknown
place of birth.
     For issue of conviction status certificate an application form is to be filled in and the
following documents presented: identity document, birth certificate, power of attorney and/or
certificate of inheritors, when a certificate is requested for another person, and in case of
alteration of names – also identity of names statement.
     A request for issue of conviction status certificate and/or information on conviction status
for an institution, administration or organization for official purposes should contain the
following data: first, middle and family name, personal identification number or foreigner’s
personal number and day, month and year of birth of the person for which the certificate or
information on conviction status is requested.
     The issue of conviction status certificate to citizens is effected immediately after the
official makes an inquiry at the electronic or paper records of conviction reports. Conviction
status certificates are issued to institutions, administrations and organizations on the date of
the request when possible, but not later than 3 days from its filing. The information on
conviction status is issued on the date of the request or latest on the next working day.
     Applications for issue of conviction status certificate are accepted after presentation of a
document for paid state charge at the amount of BGL10.00 (Bulgarian Leva ten only),
deposited in DSK Bank EAD, Sofia, to the Ministry of Justice’s account No. 3000173700,
BIN 6301301084, Bank Code 66196611.
