Wood U Build It?? (Wood Science Exhibit) 1. You must follow the attached woodworking plan exactly. This includes measurements, type of wood, and finish. You MUST use the attached plan. Kits are NOT acceptable. 2. Juniors (9-13yrs) will make a FOOTSTOOL and Seniors (14-18yrs) will make a TREASURE BOX (ewer or valet box). 3. Exhibit will be judged on neatness and how closely it resembles the plan. 4. Local 1" place winners are eligible for the county contest. Chef 4-H ~ Dairy Demonstration or Healthy Snack Demonstration ‘The food demonstration can be entered in 2 ways: Individual (by yourself) OR Partners (only 2 students working to- gether). If entered as partners, both students will explain different parts and both will help mix or prepare the dish. ‘Choose a recipe using a dairy product (milk, ice cream, cheese, yogurt, or sour cream) as a main ingredient or a healthy snack using fruit, vegetables or a grain as the main ingredient. Practice making the dish enough so you can do it at the club meeting. No more than 5 minutes for demonstration. Write a short speech on how to make the dish, Dress neatly, wear an apron, and pull hair back. Be sure to include the nutrients contained in milk in your speech. Bring your recipe on a poster to show and explain as you mix. 1 and 2™ place individual and 1* place team local winners are invited to the county contest. Everyone competes in the county contest as an INDIVIUAL. No team demonstrations allowed, Environmental Education Poster - 4th and 6th Grades ONLY 1. Artwork must be the original artwork of the student entering. 2. Themes must be a Alabama-specific environmental concern. Examples are recycling, ozone, water conservation, wildlife, forestry, and energy conservation. 3. Artwork must be done in marker, crayon, colored pencils, or paint.
