In your group using the information given to you, your textbook and internet resources create a

poster on your selected country and the effects of imperialism.



Answer the following questions and post this information on your poster board.
1. Why was your country seen as desirable to imperialist?
2. When did your country become colonized by the Europeans?
3. Who colonized your country?
4. What was life like under colonization?
5. Did your countries people resist colonization? How?
6. What was the impact of imperialism on your country?
7. How did your country come to gain its independence?

Make sure your poster includes the following:
1. A large title
2. Eight pictures both drawn & cut out
3. It answers all the questions above
4. Uses lots of color to attract the reader.
5. Has group members names on it.
Below you will find a mock-up of a sample poster.

Everyone in your group plays a role

1. The Research Leader gathers the information needed (with assistance of their group
members)
2. The Artist Designs the Poster and created the artwork needed
3. The Author writes down all the information on the poster and makes sure that it is
presentable
4. The presenter this person will present your poster to the class tomorrow.

If your group only has 3 members, then the Research leader, the artist, or the author must take the position
of the presenter. All groups must present their project to the class no exceptions.
