UNITARY
Power is located in one central place,
which controls everything in the country.
King George III, of England, ruled over the
thirteen colonies before the Constitution. He
had all of the power and could levy
enormous taxes against the colonists if he
wanted.

Individual states have power over their own regions.
After the Revolutionary War, the thirteen colonies were free from King
George IIIs reign. There was no real central government, just a loose
collection of states. Each state government was in charge of
everything in that state.
Name at least four different colonies that each had power over
