and producer from Austin, TX. His career as a musician started at a very young age. Both parents, having a love for a wide variety of music, helped develop his musical ear and created his unique sound as a child. In addition to his parents being musically inclined, they are both talented writers which helped to shape Maliks writing abilities. He was also influenced by the musical culture of growing up in Austin, TX. After learning guitar at the age of 9, he continued his musical education by teaching himself piano. This sparked his passion for creating music, and paired with his love for creative literature, he started producing his own beats and writing songs. As he continued to improve, he completed many mixtapes to hone in on his image and musical purpose. Malik tells his unique story of being a young black creative with big dreams paired with a prophetic vision in an area where this is not the norm. Eventually after years of practice, at age 18, he released his first album, The Elevator Album self-produced, and independently released. MALIK
