Dear Mr. Auston,

I am a 10th grade student enrolled in the school of Science Connections and
Technology which is currently one of the small schools located in Kearny High
School. I am participating in a school project revolving around Environment Issues.
This project calls for students to research and present the issue of our choice to the
class and try to educate their fellow classmates as well as ll themselves with more
knowledge on what truly goes around in the world.

The topic my partner and I chose was Alternative Energy. As I was conducting my
research I stumbled across the Institute for Energy Efciency and the research you
guys have done. Looking into the website I found your brief exert about yourself in
how you are the Executive Director of the Institute for Energy Efciency and
Executive Director of the Center for Energy Efcient Materials. Knowing this I am
writing the following letter to see if I could be informed about any recent ndings or
research you and or your team have conducted. I am also interested to nd out if
new states or towns have grasped onto converting from the conventional electricity
use to a more greener life style.
