Description: At nonprofit ETS, we advance quality and equity in education for people worldwide
by creating assessments based on rigorous research.ETS develops, administers and scores more
than 50 million tests annually including the TOEFLand TOEICtests, the GREGeneral
and Subject Tests and The Praxis Series assessments in more than 180 countries, at more
than 9,000 locations worldwide.In addition to assessments, we conduct educational research,
analysis and policy studies and develop a variety of customized services and products for teacher
certification, English language learning and elementary, secondary and postsecondary education.
We are seeking talented, innovative and energetic underrepresented undergraduate students who
are interested in advancing quality and equity in education and assessment to work with us on an
ETS business-driven research project. Last Summer, interns worked on meaningful research
projects within our organization includingResearch and Development, National Assessment of
Educational Progress (NAEP), Assessment Development, Strategic Workforce Solutions-Human
Resources, Legal, New Product Development, Marketing & Public Affairs, and Strategy.
Students will work 35 hours per week and will be required to attend learning and professional
development seminars for 5 hours per week to enhance the internship experience. Interns will be
exposed to the business of educational testing and assessment, be assigned a mentor, and will
work on an ETS project in his/her assigned area. Interns will receive a $4,600 stipend.
