Objective: Students will create a G.D. song with their group. They will describe in their own words what it was like to live through the G.D. Students will give examples or details from their reading in their songs.

Teacher preparation/ instruction Students activities/ assignments Step 1: Teacher will instruct one student from each group to get the ipads.
Step 2: Teacher will have students use the App pages to create a G.D. song. Teacher will give instructions. Each student will be responsible to create a part of the song. Step 3: Teacher will instruct students to brainstorm with their group. They will ask what will our song be about? What is our main focus?
Step 4: Teacher will instruct each student to work on their portion of their song. Teacher will than instruct student to bring the songs together within their group. They will than add the background music they created the day before.
Step 5: Teacher will instruct students to email their portion of their song. Step 1: Student will send one person from their group to get the iPads.
Step 2: Students will open app pages.
Step 3: Students will brainstorm to brainstorm. These are the two questions groups will answer. 1) What will the song be about? 2) What will be the main focus of their song?
Step 4: Students will work on their portion of the song. They will bring it together with others in the group. They will add the background music they created the day before. Students will make any changes they need at this point.
Step 5: Students will email their portion of the song to the teacher.
Rubric for song 1 2 3 4 5 Student wrote a song but it does not relate to G.D. Student wrote a song it is more than four sentences and it has noting to do with the G.D. Student wrote a song only two sentences and but it relates to the G.D. Student wrote song it is five sentences. Four of the sentences relate to the G.D. Student wrote a song with five sentences. All five sentences relate to the G.D. it also detailed of that time.
