The Mitralign System
Mitralign provides interventional cardiologists with the tools they need to perform a
minimally invasive, percutaneous procedure to relieve symptoms of heart failure.
Unlike other existing approaches, Mitralign uses a system of wires and catheters
to create plications that tighten the annulus, bringing the leaflets closer together,
thus reducing mitral valve regurgitation.
3 main steps of the procedure
Our procedure is grounded in science and leverages familiar tools and
techniques. For ICs and their patients who have exhausted therapeutic
options, Mitralign fills the gap in a specific disease process.

Wire placement
13.5 Fr guide catheter is positioned on the
posterior side of the left ventricle, and two wires
are placed in the mitral annulus.
Pledget delivery
Two pledgets are delivered across the annulus
over the wire.
Plication and lock
The pledgets are plicated (pulled together) and
locked in place.

The results
The circumference of the annulus is reduced, relieving the
symptoms of regurgitation.
2D and 3D transesophageal
echocardiography are used to
