Textbo LLC. I am a senior exchange student at the University of California, Davis from
Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Journalism
and Mass Communication, majoring in Mass Media Studies. The reason I am applying to
this position is because of my interest, and practical experience, in both marketing and
event planning roles.

As my resume indicates, I have extensive experience that is relevant to the

marketing position you are offering. During my time as an elected Event Planner in the
Student Committee of my home university, I have gained the communication and
organizational skills that are crucial to successfully organizing groups, creating various
activities, proficiently working within time constraints, and managing budgetary
limitations. To add, my recent participation in the 2009 Disney Marketing Award, a
national competition in which junior and senior student from different universities need
to compete to propose the most practical marketing plan for the “UP” Disney movie,
provided me with the direct skills required of the position you are offering. My tasks on
launching the online and offline marketing channel such as a micro site, personal viral
video, email, Facebook, and in-theater promotional activities allowed me to improve my
ability to work under pressure as to analyzing the target customer and establishing the
practical activities to increase sales volume.

Additionally, working as a Special Events Assistant at the Fan C Pro Company

Ltd. of Bangkok provided me the additional skill for advertising sales. I was trained to
tackle the various problems that arise in the major conference events of this Thai
company. I regularly assisted in contacting with customers by email and phone, setting
up the conference site, supporting exhibitors with presentation audio and lighting, and
services for conference presenters.
