Objectives -give students an idea of when major historical events occurred in comparison to others
-get practice with researching and looking up information on the internet
-get practice with using photo editing software
Procedures -using the list of major historical events, the students will research them in their textbooks
or on the internet
-they will find the beginning and ending times ( if applicable) for each individual event
-they will then get on the internet and find a picture that is representative for each of their
historical events
-using Picasa, the students are to create a timeline with their pictures and dates, putting the
events in order from earliest to most current
-students must also research each event completely enough to give a brief explanation of
each event
Evaluation -students will be evaluated on having their events in the correct order, their short
presentation, and having an overview of each event
