us all their classes and halls. That school was very
large, there were many classes and places. After that we went to the school canteen where we ate a delicious and nutritious lunch. Next we took a bus to Klaipeda. We visited the blacksmith museum, got acquainted with the Baltic symbols and made rings. After this we visited the old town in Klaipeda. Later we had free time. We could go shopping in Akropolis. It was the best time of the whole day. At 7:00 p.m we returned to Gargzdai and we drove home.
I spend one week in Lithuania and it was fantastic! I had a great time with great people from different countries. During my stay in Lithuania I visited many museums, old buildings, parks and other places, but I dont remember their names. The people from Lithuania were really friendly and helpful and I even made friends with a girl called Albina. She was very nice and the best thing is that I could talk with her and we understood each other. My English is quite good. Marta
Wednesday was the third day of our Lithuanian trip. About 9 o'clock we were at school. Then we walked outside and we were greeted by Lithuanian teachers. It was very nice even though it was raining. Then we went inside and we were walking around the school. When we were done with touring we went upstairs. There we saw some girls in their school uniforms who were sitting in the corridor and some girls in folk Lithuanian costumes who were handing out their traditional cheese. Then we were invited by them to the audience room and we got the polls to fill in. After we done them we heard an awesome performance of the school choir. About 12 o'clock we had lunch In the school canteen. Of course it was delicious. When we ate our meal we had a bus tour to Klaipeda. At 1.30 pm we were finally in the city. First we visited the blacksmith museum. After that we got acquainted with the Baltic symbols and forged our own brass rings. It was so much fun! Everybody could try and make their original one. After that at 3 pm we started an excursion around the Klaipeda old town. After that the time came for my favoutite part of that whole day - free time! At 5 pm we had shopping time in Klaipeda "Akropolis". After walking that much we were super hungry so almost everyone went to eat something. After that we actually went shopping. When we were done about 6.30 pm we came back to our bus and we returned to Gargzdai. We were driving pretty short but it was a very nice trip. We were talking, singing in different languages, even dancing macarena! :) At 8 pm everyone was already in their house. When I came home I had a delicious dinner with "my family". They were very nice and hospitable.

SCHOOL-KLAIPEDA FERRY PORT-KURSIU NERIJA(NIDA) On Thursday we met at 8.30 at school. Then we were creating in several groups a common painting based on traditional Lithuanian patterns. Meanwhile the teachers were having a working session. At 11 oclock we went by bus to the Klaipeda ferry port. We took a ferry and went to the Kursiu Nerija a site of cultural landscape having many natural and cultural values which is in the list of World Heritage of UNESCO. We saw there the Baltic Sea, we were walking on the beach full of small pieces of amber and we also saw a lot of dunes which swamped some of the fishing villages. We were walking in the forest. After that we went to Nida-a town with beautifull colorful houses which are very similar to each other-there we were painting the Kursiu Nerijas symbols in blue, white, red, black and brown. These colors are the traditional colours of this region. After that we ate lunch. After the lunch we went to the Witch Mountain where there are some wooden sculptures. We also heard there a lot of interesting stories about those sculptures. After that trip we returned to our families. Zuzia
It was the fifth and the last day of our trip. At 9am we went by bus to Palanga a beautiful city near the Baltic Sea. There we had an educational programme with amber experts. They taught us a lot - how it was created or how to work with this valuable thing. Next part of sightseeing was free time when we could buy some souvenirs or go for a short walk on Palanga sea bridge. When we got hungry, we went to the restaurant. We also had fun in nearby playground.
After it we returned to Gargdai. In school each partner school showed and learned one of their national dances it was a great fun. I will remember this trip for a very long time because of many things very nice and friendly people, having fun on the bus, sightseeing. Paulina
