School: Jenison Christian School Choir/Grade Level: 6 National Standards met: 1 Extra notes: Both to make conducting easier and to improve management, the clicker will be given to multiple students throughout the lesson as a reward, based on demonstration of such qualities as proper posture or an expressive face while singing. Having each verse of certain songs being sung twice is intended to help students better learn the large amount of words contained in those verses over time. However, since memorization is not the primary focus of this lesson, they will not actually try to sing these verses from memory, and time will dictate whether these verses actually will be sung twice. The numbers for the first two sung warm-ups indicate scale degrees.
