CESAREAN SECTION:
Cesarean birth is the birth of a fetuses through a
transabdominal incision of the uterus.

DEFINITION:
It is an operative procedure whereby the fetuses after
the end of 28th week are delivered through an incision
on the abdominal and uterine walls.

INDICATIONS:
Broadly divided into two:
*Absolute *Relative

TIME OF OPERATION:
*Elective *Emergency
TYPES OF OPERATION:
*Lower segment cesarean section
*Classical or upper segment

L.S.C.S:
It is the extraction of the baby is done through an
incision made in the lower segment through a
transperitoneal approach.
– Prenatal preparation
– Preoperative perparation
– Intraoperative care
– After care
CLASSICAL:
In this the baby is extracted through an incision made
In the upper segment of the uterus.
