TEACHING CONTEXT AND GOALS

It is a language school. Seven different languages are taught in there. Ages

of students vary in the same classroom because students are arranged according
to the level. Classroom is about 5 to 7 people and is it constantly changing. Adults
and children work together. Teachers are asked to work specifically with the book.
There is no computer lab in the institution. Students go there one hour everyday
from Monday to Friday. The material available for teacher is a tape recorder and
the blackboard. Classroom is very small. Most of the students prefer to have
grammar instruction in detail; they do not like autonomous activities. The book
used is interchange intermediate level. They are very participative; most of them
are studying because they want to. They enjoy classes. The whole course is about
a year. This group are in level 4.

GOALS

1.-To plan less controlled activities.

2.-To work on alternative activities.

3.-Include new ways of introducing vocabulary.
