Support Focus for Additional Adults:

No. of G & T: SEN: EAL:

No. of Boys: Girls:
Objectives: By the end of the lesson pupils will
Have had introduction to Resistant Materials and an overview of the requirements of the unit of work- Students learn
the intended outcome of the project
Identified health and safety issues within the workshop environment- Students aware of the associated H&S risks of
working in the workshop environment.
Differentiation:
Students which are more able will come up with their own unique designs for the box and the lid. Less able students will need
prompts with their design ideas. I will have various pencil box examples which I will show them after they have done their first
designs so they dont get fixated on one design.

With the specification pupils are encouraged to come up with their own specification points which will be unique to their own
design process, so less able pupils my need a prompt to help them get their specification points.

Some pupils will progress faster than others so extension task have been added, but the teacher should try and keep everyone
on the same time scale so there is less confusion who is where with the project.
