Resumen de la unidad
In any classroom, it is important to get students paying attention and
listening and the best way to reach this goal is through crafts and games.
It is often surprising how original and creative students can be when given
the opportunity.

The purpose of this unit is integrate and develop listening, speaking,
reading, writing skills, crafts and games in English lessons, in order to:
Reinforce their understanding of the class.

Keep the students interested, excited and involve in learning.
Promote communicative competence.
Reduce learning anxiety.
Encourage creative.
Strength language skills.
Keep the mind sharp and stimulated.

In this project the student should learn about Panamas general information, such as: demographic of Panama,
population, geography, bounds, extreme points, political division, provinces, national symbols, cuisine, music,
dance, transportation and historical facts.

Activities:
1. Create a pop-up 3D book about Panamas general information.

3. Make a movie maker and collage using the tics.
4. Develop the pre- test using google drive.

Resumen de evaluaciones
INTRODUCTION:
Motivational message
Warm-up: Students will answer some questions about Panama, such as:
1. How much is Panama population?
2. What can you tell me about demographic of Panama?

DEVELOPMENT:

1. The students will present their pop-up 3D book about Panamas general information.
2. They will give rhythm to a plan and turn in song.
3. They will present a collage and movie maker about the given topic.

CLOSING:
After the craft is completed, what should we do with it? This is where the craft-linguistic connection
comes in! The craft can be used in a follow-up activity to review the linguistic input of the daily lesson.
The craft and the vocabulary become a tapestry of the student's learning: vocabulary items and
concepts from the lesson are interconnected and woven into a pattern of learning, the end result being
a tangible project of the student's own creation. They are putting the new lexis into another
meaningful context, something visual and tangible to solidify the new linguistic material in their minds.

Finally we will evaluate students creativity using a rubric (it is a scoring and instructional tool use to
assess students performance using a task-specific range of set of criteria)

POP UP BOOK TUTORIAL
Level of Difficulty: Easy
THE BOX (Also know as the Parallel Fold or the Step)
While simple to construct, the box is extremely versatile. It lends itself beautifully to cards with strong
graphical elements. The pop up mechanism enhances the graphics without being distracting.

A Box symmetrically cut from the fold.
Fold your paper in half. I use a whole sheet of 8.5" x 11" when I'm learning a new technique. On the outside
of the folded card, draw one or more rectangles of any size, where one side of the rectangle is the fold.
Examples:

Curso Esencial

Cut along the rectangle sides that are perpendicular to the fold. (Shown as solid lines on the sample.) DO
NOT CUT across the top. Score across the top of the rectangle. (Shown as dotted line on the sample.) You
now have a flap of paper with a fold across the bottom.

Set creases into the rectangle by folding the flap up, then unfolding. Flip the card over and fold the flap up
on the other side, then unfold. Open the card. From the back, push the square to pop it forward. It should
look like this.

Side View

Your graphics can be affixed to the front or top of the pop up
steps. Before gluing everything together be sure nothing will
stick out from the edges of the card when it is folded.
You can create vastly different designs just by varying the
size and placement of the pop up rectangles. Turning the card
to open from the side instead of the front presents additional
possibilities.

consider the suggestions given by Marelyn Friend in her book Including
Students with Special Needs: A Practical Guide for Classroom Teachers.
Some of this suggestions are:
Identify classroom environmental curricular and instructional
demands.
Note students strength and needs.
Check for potential areas of students success.
Look for potential problems areas.
Use information gathered to brainstorm instructional adaptations.
Decide which adaptions to implement.
Evaluate students progress.

No hispano-
parlantes
Spanish like English are the most widely spoken languages in the world. Learning a
second language can be helpful in many aspects for a person. For an English
speaker, Spanish is considered to be the best choice as a second language. In fact,
learning Spanish like English has become a necessity than a luxury.

There are different techniques we can use to teach Spanish to an English native
speaker. Here we are going to show you the most common top ten for learning
Spanish:

10. Dont expect be perfect: When you learn a new language expect that you
will make mistakes, and dont be embarrassed by them.

9. Work on developing an ear for Spanish: Try to developing an ear for
Spanish.

8. Practice speaking: The only way to learn to speak a language is by
actually speaking. You can study for years, and master all of the grammar
rules, but unless you actually practice speaking, you will never speak well.
When you are practicing speaking, remember to do it out loud, at normal
conversational volume.

7. Be consistent: To really learn a language takes times and commitment. If
you can devote a solid twenty minutes a day, nearly every day, you will be
for more successful than if you cram for an hour or two, but only
sporadically.

6. Talk to yourself: Talk to yourself as much as possible. Because there is no
one else around.

5. Use flashcards: Make cards that are small enough to easily carry with you,
and write the English on one side and Spanish on the other, in this way, you
can study standing in line, riding the bus, waiting for class to start, etc.

4. Label your surrounding: Make labels for things all over your house. For
example, la pared (wall), la puerta (door), el escritorio (desk), etc. Remove
the labels only after you have mastered the vocabulary.

3. Be patient: Progress in language learning does not follow a straight-line
graph. You cannot expect to make the same amount of progress, day after
day, week after week.

2. Find a partner: Try to find a native speaker who can be your conversation
partner.

1. Read out loud: Try reading out loud. You will get all of the benefits of
reading, plus youll get really good pronunciation practice. In fact, as a
beginner, you should read aloud as much as possible.
