Interactive Scatter Plots in SPSS

Click Graphs, Legacy Dialogs, Interactive, Scatterplot. The Create Scatterplot

window will appear. Select the Assign Variables tab. The naes o! variables will
appear in the pane to the le!t. Drag the naes o! two o! the variables into the bo"es !or
the # and $ a"es, as shown below.
I have data here !or two s%bgro%ps, those who were classi!ied as not being
idealistic and those classi!ied as being idealistic. I want the plotting points !or these two
gro%ps to di!!er !ro one another. I can ask that they di!!er in color, style or shape. &y
dragging the nae o! the gro%ping variable into the Color bo", I indicate that I want the
plotted points to di!!er in color.
I also want the linear regression lines to be drawn on the plot. I click the 'it tab,
select the (egression ethod, and ask !or !it lines !or the s%bgro%ps only.
