Readers, today I want to teach you that readers can imagine what the people in their books say, and how they say it, by looking closely at the peoples facial
expressions and gestures.

Kindergartners today you learned that readers look at the pictures in a story to see how the character is feeling. (One student will share a picture from their
book). Tomorrow we will learn how to use the words and then and next to help us tell what happened in the story. "Now we are going to read our shared
reading book for the week, School Rules. Today we will continue to look for character feelings.
