II. Objective/Outcome:
Students will demonstrate knowledge of a primary and se#ondary #olors. They will
demonstrate how to mi% primary #olors to get their se#ondary #olor. They will #ome out
of this pro+e#t with the understanding the meaning of primary and se#ondary #olors.
II. Anticipatory set/Motivation:
Students will ha*e already learned how to apply paint whit a paint'rush. They will also
ha*e learned how to #ut o'+e#ts out of paper. The students will also *iew a *ideo a'out
what primary and se#ondary #olor are. An e%ample of the finished #olor wheel and how
we will make a turtle will 'e displayed at the front of the #lass.
IV. Model the rocess:
Criteria:
The finished produ#t will show all primary and se#ondary #olors on a #olor wheel that
will 'e glued to a plate. The plate will then 'e turned into a turtle 'y using #onstru#tion
paper. The student will #ut out legs and a head to 'e glued onto the plate to #omplete the
turtle.
Demonstration:
Show ea#h step as we do it. The pro+e#t will 'e done step 'y step as a #lass.

&. Students will wat#h a demonstration on how to apply the paint onto the template.

head.

2. Students will then #ut out eyes out of white paper.
3. All of the turtles legs and head will 'e glued to the re*ersed side opposite of the #olor
wheel to gi*e the appearan#e of a tortes shell.

VII. Accommodations:
There are two students in #lass that ha*e learning disa'ilities. I will pro*ide instru#tions
for ea#h student indi*idually dire#tly after gi*ing a demonstration for the ne%t step to the
#lass. These students may stand while doing the pro+e#t if needed and will 'e redire#ted
to fo#us on the steps.
VIII. !lean up:
Allow 18 minutes for #lean up. All materials must 'e 'a#k in their assigned pla#es and
drawers. All students must 'e seated when done.
