Non-profit organization dedicated to providing encouragement, guidance for ten years, and higher education
scholarship opportunities to children with financial need. By the end of 2010 Marathon served 71 students affiliated
with 49 schools in Oregon and southwest Washington. Marathon works closely with local schools to identify students
for the program and seeks students who qualify for free and reduced lunches in the public schools (185% of the
Federal Poverty Guideline).
