*y planning and preparation of my lesson went pretty well. A
couple things I did well were having the students organized on the
courts and leaving enough time for me to have a closure with the
class. An area that needs improvement would be my e9tensions for
activities. =aving good e9tensions for activities allows your
students to have more fun and stay on tas-.
&. 'esson (ontent
I thought my lesson content was e9tremely well. I was able to easily
e9plain the focus of the lesson and when we want to use the drop
shot in badminton. An area that needs improvement would be
tal-ing about and e9plaining why we want to use the drop shot.
Also tal- about different strategies in using the drop shot.
>9plaining why we want to use the drop shot will help the students
understand the purpose of it.
). "ransition/(lassroom *anagement
!verall, my transitions and classroom management went really
well. All of my transitions were really smooth and 7uic-. I had the
students on the outside courts rotate to the courts to their left. For
management I had all the students put their e7uipment away at the
end of the lesson. An area that needs improvement would be maybe
having e9tra birdies close to me in case a group of students brea-s
one or loses one under the bleachers. =aving e9tras birdies on me
would save the students from having to wal- over to the bin and
grabbing a new one which would limit their activity time. Also if I
were to wal- over to the bin to grab one I would be turning my bac-
to the class.
+. (ontent Delivery
*y content delivery was overall pretty good. I was able to get
across the message of what I wanted the class to do and what I
wanted the class to wor- on. An area of improvement would be
being more enthusiastic about the lesson. ?eing more enthusiastic
ma-es the lesson, both more fun for the students and the teacher as
well. If the teacher is not enthusiastic then the lesson is going to be
boring.
,. Feedbac- given by you to the .tudents
!verall my feedbac- given to the students was o-ay. I did a decent
@ob giving feedbac- out to students who were doing the s-ill
correctly. Areas of improvement would be giving out feedbac- to
students who need help with the s-ill and being more consistent
with my feedbac-.
/. Feedbac- you received from (ooperating "eacher
Areas that went well were my content -nowledge of the s-ill and
activities. Also my mobility around the gym, -eeping my eyes on
the entire class the whole time. An area that needs improvement is
my enthusiasm in delivering the content and lesson. =aving more
enthusiasm will ma-e the lesson more fun for the students and the
teacher.
?. Final %aragraph
"he most important thing that I learned while teaching my lesson
today was to be enthusiastic and energetic about the lesson and
activities. 8hen teaching I didnAt show much enthusiasm causing
the lesson to be -ind of 7uiet and boring. In order to ma-e my
lessons more fun and entertaining IAm going to need to improve on
my enthusiasm. In my ne9t lessons IAm definitely going to try to
improve on this characteristic.
