Dear Danny Small:

I am writing to you about opportunities available through XploreAsias TESOL Certification and Internship
program. With and interest and passion for languages I hope to earn a TESOL certificate to teach English
abroad widening my own knowledge of the world while also giving back. After completing the course I
would enjoy working as an intern for XploreAisa to develop my abilities as a communicator and encourager
on an international platform.

A foundational skill that I excel in is the ability to connect and communicate with others. While attending
college fulltime I developed an ability to work autonomously and with others while also managing projects
and assignments alongside two part time jobs, hobbies, personal relationships, and interests. I believe that
my degree inWriting-Intensive English continues to aid my in strong ability to communicate verbally and
through written content due to my passion for research, my strong work ethic, and a love for the process.

My need to give back and work with others began at a young age volunteering through my church and
flourished later on as I became a youth mentor to homeless students in Milwaukee Wisconsin. There I
learned how to problem solve in sensitive environments and build relationships with students based on trust
and confidentiality. My experiences there also taught me the importance of discernment and knowing what
strengths you have in order to better a community and company. I taught students study and writing skills,
worked hard to encourage them to take initiative, and aided in finding work, living, and educational
opportunities. Overall my experience working with homeless children increased my ability to be patient,
developed my listening skills, and planted within me my need to give back.
