STACC
ETHOS
> The author of the Declaration of Independence was Thomas Jefferson he was the main one who
composed it with the help of Benjamin Franklin and many more.
> From the information of the text I can see that "The people" want to be independent from the British
rule.

> If I were to do a Internet background check on the main founding author Thomas Jefferson many facts
would appear. But what I would want to research about him would be:
Why did he get into Politics?
Why did he get appointed to be main author of the DOI?
> The type of Ethos that Jefferson was putting out would be a strong desire for freedom of oppression,
explaining how the "people" want rights like everyone else, and not be controlled or be harassed any
more.
LOGOS
> Some implied assumptions and unstated ones:
The "people" will no longer be controlled.
The "people" will no longer be extorted or harassed.
The "people" want rights.
The "people" want to their own army for defense.
The "people" want right to their own belief.
These are all valid assumptions and wants found in the DOI.
> Any claims found in the Declaration of Independence are not weak and are supported by the many
author and states of that time.
> I myself cannot think of a counter argument towards the Declaration of Independence. As for the
authors leaving anything out on purpose, yes possibly but it can range from many different topics from
religious freedom to a certain belief thought by many.
PATHOS
>This piece would affect me emotionally if it wasn't in use by the US.
> The Authors of the DOI manipulate your emotions with Dream, Courage, and feeling of "finally we are
getting out rights and true freedom".
> My emotions for the DOI are not affecting my logical thinking of it. In no way, everything was written
great for its time.
