Creating a safe and supportive environment for my students is important; I believe that a number of strategies should be in place in order to maintain a safe environment for my students. I have not had an extensive amount of experience in reporting on students achievement, however it is a crucial element in the classroom and gauge students success. It is vital to provide unbiased feedback and keep record of student accomplishment in Initial and on going I endeavor to work with my colleagues to create and implement strategies that will provide me with effective reporting and record keeping. As a teacher I believe it is paramount to continuously update my repertoire of knowledge in a number of different learning areas, as teaching is dynamic and not static. On going throughout my career I endeavor to participate in a number of different Professional Development seminars in a variety of different fields in order to help my students achieve success in their learning. I will consistently look to broaden my knowledge of different strategies that will assist me in my classroom teaching thereby renewing my excitement and passion for teaching. Standard 7: Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community 7.4 Engage with professional teaching networks and broader communities Understand the role of external professionals and community representatives in broadening teachers professional knowledge and practice. Engaging in the broader community allows teachers to continually move forward. Being part of the school community will allow me to develop myself as a professional through practice as well as my knowledge.
