Introduction
Every semester every student has to register for classes for the next semester. Registration can
be a stressful task when you dont know what youre doing. This manual will provide every step
needed to complete registration. There are a couple of ways you can register, either through the
visual schedule builder or straight through myUNT. This manual will show you how to get
started, use the visual schedule builder, use myUNT, and how to check out. The visual schedule
builder show a visual timeline of what your schedule will be. MyUNT shows you specifically
what classes you are signed up for and their times in a list form.
Before beginning this manual you should know what classes you need to take as well as how
many hours you need to take. If you need more information the advisors are there to help you
figure this out. You can meet with an advisor by setting up an appointment or go during one of
their walk in days. If you are a freshman than it is mandatory for you to meet with an advisor,
when you meet with them you will be given a registration code. If you are a sophomore or
higher you do not have to meet with an advisor, although it is recommended.
All UNT students have a username and password that has been set up already. This means that
every UNT student has a myUNT account set up. To go to your account just go to my.unt.edu.
Every once in a while you will be told to change your password (about every semester), but your
username will always stay the same. It is important to remember your password and username
because this is the only place to register and where you will be paying for school.
