A classroom is the most important room a student will walk into during their teenage years. A classroom is the place where students gain knowledge of educational concepts and connect them to their life outside of school. My classroom will be an equitable challenging place that encourages students to be successful. My lesson plans will be designed in a way that has accommodations in mind and involves every student. Students will be given the highest opportunities to succeed through accommodations such as teacher notes, 3D models, and any way to enhance a students learning experience. In class all students will be assigned jobs during group work to ensure each person is participating. During direct instruction students will be randomly called on and each given a chance to answer or ask a question. I will reference applicable life situations as main connections to solidify concepts for students. I will also require students to show me examples that they come up with for connections. Having the students make their own connections provides them a chance to incorporate more of their interests and relate them to the concepts. These actions will create an active and beneficial classroom pursuing the highest level of academic excellence.
