I had experienced difficulty deciding whether to be employed with a company or develop my own ideas and teach, as was my long held dream. After my experience with this class and seeing my own art, my decision was clear. There was a phoenix fish rising from the water and the waves. My fish, leaping out with vibrant color and large size, told me I was ready to be seen as a big fish for a change. I no longer see my contributions or my life as small, but a vital part of the world. Cultivating the Magic Within: Transformation through art & story

Anne Macpherson is a peace activist who brings art and story to children of all ages in a mission to understand that the world is a place where dream and reality combine. The Golden Fish Project is an extension of this work to transform community and individuals by daring to believe in magic. She designs art curriculum and teaches art with the Rainforest Art Project, the San Diego Art Institute and Young Audiences.

Our Vision
Anne and Colleen partner to create experiential classes that nurture a positive difference in communities. By experiencing story and art as a group, people come to appreciate the unique qualities in themselves and others. Sharing is a natural outcome that is sweet and encourages a space of belonging and support.

About the Teachers

Colleen Holt is a transformation coach and community facilitator. For ten years she has partnered with many women, entrepreneurs, artists and organizations in learning effective techniques to reshape limiting thought patterns into successful outcomes. She is a graduate of Pepperdine Universitys masters degree program in Organizational Development.

About the Class

This class is designed for those who are interested in developing confidence in the craft of living with more magic enjoyment, creativity, love, vitality, and peace. Through this transformative process of art and story, we tune our awareness to the stories we have created and learn to be the authors of our lives. The Golden Fish is a true story about the courage to believe in magic. During the reading of the story, you will be guided through a process to uncover your thought habits which shape your life. You will retell your story though the medium of art. Your artwork becomes a symbolic reminder of who you are and focuses your mind to fulfill your aspirations and ideas.
