(1) Charlie told me that he hadnt seen Diane recently. (2) My father explained to us that he didnt know why Fred had been sacked the previous day /the day before. (3) Lorena said that she was living in London with her parents the following year / the year after. (4) I told my brother that he looked much older than me. (5) Luke told John that he could come and stay with him if he was ever in London. (6) My sister told her friend she would tell Anne she had seen her there. (7) Sandra said that she wanted to go on holiday the following summer /the summer after, but she couldnt afford it. (8) The teacher told the students that they had to complete all exercises right then.
Exercise 2. Report the following questions.
(1) She asked him what his name was. (2) Martin asked me when I had seen that film. (3) My father asked the shop assistant how much the potatoes were. (4) He asked us where they could go then. (5) I asked Laura if we were meeting all her friends the following day / the day after. (6) My friends asked me if I had travelled with my family the previous summer / the summer before.
Exercise 3. Report the following orders/commands.
(1) Andrew advised me to clean the blue bike. (2) Jessica suggested me that I (should) write a text message // writing a message. (3) Nelly told me to help Peters sister. (4) Fred ordered me to wash my hands. (5) Anna commanded us not to open the window.
