Bethel Elementary School Media Center uses the Dewey Decimal Classification System for the organization of non-fiction books. Please re-shelve books according to their call numbers. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask the Media Center Staff.
What is it?
The Dewey Decimal Classification System is used for classifying books in most libraries. It is a general knowledge organizational tool based on a numerical scheme for the arrangement of subjects of
non-fiction books. There are 10 main subject groups or categories. Each category is represented by figures that start at 000 and go to 999.
