It causes our muscles to clench, our hearts to beat fast, our stomachs to cramp up, and make it difficult for us to think about things or learn new things. In the past, if a wooly mammoth was chasing you, fight or flight response works really well because those are your best two options. So, everyone, put one hand on your chest and one hand on your belly. Breathe in. If your chest is rising more than your stomach, imagine pushing your breath all the way down into your belly. Try taking a deep breath again. 7. Now we are going to breathe together and I will count out loud. You are going to breath in for a count of three, hold your breath for a count of three, and breathe out for a count of 4. Breath in, 1. 2. 3. Hold, 1. 2. 3. Breath out, 1. 2. 3. 4.
