MEMO: RTI IMPLEMENTATION

Faculty and Staff, *Mandatory Staff meeting this Friday at 3:30pm regarding Response to Intervention Implementation* To improve overall academic and behavioral standards, our school will be implementing an RTI (Response to Intervention) program at the beginning of the fall term. This program will involve a slight change in the curriculum of our classrooms, as well as the hiring of specialists in the areas of math and reading. These specialists will give screenings at the end of each week to give us information regarding where students do not meet standards. Those students will then be pulled out of class by a specialist in order to receive more aid in the areas that require improvement. If, by the end of that section of this program the student has improved, they will no longer work with their specialist. However, if the student still requires aid, they will move into the next stage of RTI for more personalized intervention and aid.
