Use non-coercive influence to shape the groups or organizations goals. Motivate others behaviour toward goals. Help to define organizational culture.

Assertiveness if your instructions are not listened/taken seriously, this


can cause huge problems

Leaders are the:


People who can influence the behaviors of others without having to rely on force. People who are accepted as leaders by others.

POWER & LEADERSHIP

Power and Leadership

Power is the ability to affect the behavior of others.

Legitimate power is granted through the organizational hierarchy. Reward power is the power to give or withhold rewards. Coercive power is power that is dependent on fear, suppression of free will and use of punishment or threat Referent power is the personal power acquired from being well liked or respected by the followers. Expert power comes from ones information or expertise through which you influence others.
