II. Behavior/ Objective: A. The learner will learn the create an outline of the essay after discussing the importance of prewriting. III. Object/Purpose: Today we will be reviewing the steps of the writing process, we will discuss why it is so important to prewrite, and how mapping out your ideas for your papers can help you write a better process. V. Input: A. 1. The learner will need to be taking notes, and collecting notes on the ancient olympic games. Most of the information should be collected from the students going to their 10th grade history class. 2. I will show the students various examples of pre-writes. Showing spoke diagrams, and venn diagrams, and also the standard outline format. of the outline. The students will get to choose which portions of the olympics they will be comparing in their essays. So they will add those to the introductory paragraph, and then use them in the outlines, adding the facts to support their arguments. VI. Modeling: The examples of the various models of pre writes to model what will be expected of them for their outline. VII. Independent Practice:The students will create an outline of their paper. before they begin writing it. VII. Checking for Understanding: Before they can begin writing their paper, the students will need to get their outline approved by the teacher, making sure they have all of the elements.
