Reflective Analysis of Portfolio Artifact Rationale/Reflection InTASC Standard: Standard 2: Learning Differences The teacher uses understanding of individual

differences and diverse cultures and communities to ensure inclusive learning environments that enable each learner to meet high standards. Brief Description of Evidence: I researched diversity in the classroom and created a Prezi. In this Prezi, I have statistics about how life in the classroom will become more diverse in the years to come. I also show in my presentation how it is the responsibility of the teacher to incorporate diversity in language, ethnicity, and religion into the classroom. Analysis of What I Learned: I have learned through research, classrooms in America face many diverse situations every day. When I have a classroom of my own I will not have a classroom where all the students have the same economic and cultural background. Also, I have learned the experiences I go through and beliefs I have does have an effect on what I teach and the way I teach. In this project I have learned about how diversity shapes the American classroom. How This Artifact Demonstrates my Competence on the InTASC Standard: This artifact shows I understand all families are different and all children must be respected as equal. The Prezi I created demonstrates my competence as an educator by showing my understanding for individual differences. I recognize my responsibilities by keeping my opinions and thoughts out of the classroom but teaching all children in an inclusive environment. All students should have an equal opportunity to meet high standards and feel respected as individuals.
