What are healthcare solutions? Healthcare solutions are the logistics of health infrastructure. Solutions help to solve problems such as data collection, data storage and data assessment to provide life-saving medical support for those in need. What healthcare solutions are Obz currently concerned with? Currently, the healthcare system for 27 poor communities in Nicaragua is extremely inefficient. Data is currently collected using a pencil and paper, and due to the vast distance between the communities (where data is collected) and healthcare facilities, the records must travel long distances before they can be assessed by a doctor. Why does it matter? It can take 6 months from the time a child contracts an illness to the time a doctor can prescribe a life-saving treatment; but it doesn't have to be like that! How can I make a difference? By donating to Obz Design you are helping to fund the purchase of iPads for each community. iPads will decrease the time it takes between the first symptoms of a disease and medical treatment from 6 months to 6 hours.

Your donation to Obz Design will be used to purchase an iPad for volunteer community-based health directors. Because health data can only be recorded on paper in pencil, data is often lost or destroyed by environmental conditions. An iPad will provide instant data input and organization, which can then be sent wirelessly to doctors hours away.
