Wooster, Ondo, June 28, 1914.
Dr, William L, Bryan,
President of Indiana University,
Bloomington, Indiana,
Dear Mr, Bryan:
My duties at Wooster are finisned and I am now
free to take up affairs pertaining to my work with Indiana,
Tt has been suggested to ne that a Kr, Rockne of
Notre Dame assist in foot ball next year, He is to take medicine
at Indiana in this event, For several reasons I am not in favor
of this plan, It has been my intention to interest the Alumni
as far as possible this coming season, and I am sure that the
methods of Notre Dame are quite different than those of Indiana
or Yale, If you think that this particular third system will be
Deneficial to the athletic life at Indiana next year I will be
glad to assist in carrying out your judgment,
Owing to the fact that I was not with you lest
year, it seems best that I report at Bloomington the first of
August, I am asking for your opinion of this arrangement.
Mrs, Childs and I regret that we have been unable
to see your Relative here, Pastors of the Presbyterian churches
nave not found her with the information I gave, Perhaps I mistook
the name which I understood as Moore,
Sincerely,
CoC. Chee
