NAME: Hamza Hussain CANDIDATE/STUDENT NO: TEAM NAME: ndiGO SEMINAR GROUP NO: F3
Background During the Business Game module I have developed a range of skills. By the end of this module I have gained skills by carrying out various assignments for the business game module. During my first year at university two areas of improvement were my organisational skills and my ability to cope under pressure. Action(s) Taken Various assignments allowed me to focus on my weak skill areas and improve these skills during the module. During the assignments for the module I was required to be prepared for team meetings with all necessary work to be done before hand. Therefore preparation for each assignment allowed me to improve my organisational skills. Whilst working on the presentation, business plan and group report I was able to organise my work in a proficient manner.

As well as my organisation skills I had worked on improving my ability to cope with pressure. Whilst working on assignments I was able to focus on coping with pressure. Various assignments had deadlines, which had to be reached, and the assignments also consisted of various challenging group tasks. Consequently, I had used this module to improve my ability to cope with pressure.
Outcome My weak skills had improved significantly and these skills improving were evident during the module. By improving my organisational skills I was able to use the skills for other modules. My improved organisational skills allowed me to gain good grades for the business game assignments and assignments for other modules. In addition to this my ability to cope under pressure had significantly improved. Consequently, allowing me to be better prepared with the pressure of various tasks for placement applications. Learning I had learned the importance of personal development and the improvements this has on various aspects of specific tasks carried out by an individual. As well as this I have learned by focusing on weak skills and improving these skills can improve the employability of a certain individual.

Further Development Boud, Keogh & Walker (2005) discuss the importance of reflection in their book and write that Reflection is a vital element in any form of learning. Therefore based on the importance of reflection, in the future I will continue to identify skills that can be improved, by constantly reflecting upon my skillset and identifying areas of improvement. Subsequently, I will be able to keep a steady improvement in my skills. As a result improving my skills will lead to completion of tasks in a more effective and efficient approach.
