Career Advisor, Graduate Assistant Albers Placement Center, Seattle University | Seattle, WA September 2013 - Present Advise on average 15-20 undergraduate students a week, assisting them with resume and cover letter writing, job searching techniques, mock interviews, career exploration, and LinkedIn. Co-present resume workshop 3 to 5 times a quarter for the Business Communications class. Collaborate with Albers staff on planning quarterly internship and career fairs, implementing strategic planning skills to insure events run smoothly and students can navigate effectively. Manage Albers Placement Center social media strategies, including updating Facebook and Twitter weekly. Career Instruction Intern Counseling Center, Highline Community College | Des Moines, WA January 2013 - March 2014 Contributed to Highlines development of a new career services center by presenting a synthesis of best practices gathered from interviewing career development professionals at 4 community colleges, to a 15 member advisory committee of faculty and staff. Assessed Career 110: Career Exploration and Self-Evaluation course, which improved implementation of structure, content and student engagement for future classes. Energized students around networking and informational interviews by creating and teaching a lesson plan on networking, utilizing Prezi and also LinkedIn to increase engagement and understanding. Career Advising Intern TRIO, Highline Community College | Des Moines, WA May 2013 - November 2013 Created and instituted new TRiO career development program by implementing career advising and designing the TRiO Career Preparation Guide, all which are still being utilized to assist TRiO students with interest and career exploration, educational goal setting, resume and cover letter creation, and networking skills. Instructed workshop on academic resume development and personal statements for summer BRIDGE course, as well as a workshop tailored to help the Counseling Center staff with student use of LinkedIn.

Rehabilitation Technician The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) | Bellevue, WA December 2011- September 2013 Developed new orientation program which eliminated client wait-lists for intake appointments, while also enhancing first-time clients knowledge of DVR resources. Provided in-depth information about DVR services by presenting DVR orientation to an average of 15-20 new clients weekly, aiding in personal decision-making of individuals based on needs and career interests. Managed partnerships with up to 30 employers and community organizations in the Bellevue area, which provided clients with direct access to a variety of resources to support their independence and career goals. Enhanced DVR productivity and sustainability by training a new employee to perform confidently and efficiently on case management updates, assessments procedures, and counselor support. Program Coordinator Educating Future Leaders | Bellingham, WA June 2010 - January 2011 Assisted in implementing a mentor program for 15 high school and college students, empowering students to develop as leaders and celebrate their unique interests and educational pursuits through community service work. Introduced high school students to the benefits of electronic portfolios by facilitating a hands on workshop where students used the website tool Weebly to present their proudest work, which many were successful in using to enhance their applications to colleges.
