) Was the job shadow you completed the same career field you identified in your career PowerPoint? If you completed the experience in another field, explain why there was a need to change career fields. (i.e., I was not able to set up a job shadow experience in my intended career field OR After taking a closer look at the field, I found that I was more interested in). No, being the schools dean actually was my second choice of career, since I was not able to set up a job shadow experience in my intended career field. I found out I was actually interested in being a schools dean. 2.) As a result of your job shadow experience, are you still planning to pursue the same career or has the experience led you in a new direction? Explain. I really think I should pursue the career as being a schools dean because its similar to a consular. You really have to understand what and why the child does what they do. 3.) During your job shadow, what skills did you observe that are needed to be proficient at this career? The skills that Ive observed that I need to proficient as being a schools dean is patience and learning how to carefully listen to what others have to say before you speak on something you have no clue to whats going on. 4.) What activities and or duties did you like/dislike about the experience? The activities that I like is calming the students down and controlling arguments. What I dislike about this career is that you have to suspend or expel the child if they continue to misbehave. 5.) Do you see yourself doing this job for the duration of your working career? (i.e., 15 to 20 years in the same field) I could see myself being a schools dean because I once was like this in school. Its easier for me to understand why the child react the way they did even though the child is wrong.

6.) Aside from academic preparation in school, what are some other things that you can do in order to prepare for your intended career field? Some things I could do in order to prepare for my intended career field is change my attitude towards certain situations and people. 7.) Is there any important tips and or advice you were given by your mentor concerning your career field? The advice given by Ms. Bailey is being patience and understanding and things would go a lot smoother. 8.) Considering everything you have learned, what is most invaluable lesson you have learned from your job shadowing experience, and how will this help you to move forward in your intended career field? The most invaluable lesson I have learned from job shadowing experience is no matter how bad your day is going you should never let your attitude affect your work. When your attitude affects your work you wouldnt be happy about the work you completed for that day.
