I, Samhitha, have a mysterious story which I will never forget. It all started on a rainy day, when I was going home from school with my Hannah Mona Tana Umbrella on my head.

Since it was raining I wasnt able to see anything clearly. I saw a girl, sitting on a rock with a blanket around her, in that lonely street. She was totally wet. I went to her and she was happy to see me. I asked her name, she replied Margot. She had a short blonde hair and deep blue eyes. She was kind. She said that she was lost when she came for a picnic. And she hardly remembers her parents. She only remembers her sister. I asked her if she would like to stay in my house. She was really happy and she said that she will come over. The whole time I had a heavenly feeling in my heart that I never felt before. I knew my mother would scold me if a stranger is going to stay in our house, so I got a plan. I used to have a cute dog named Martha. I built a nice and cozy dog house for it, which is big enough for a person to stay in it. But fate said that lovely Martha had to die. I still cry if I get reminded of it. Margot agreed to hide in the dog house, since it is better than staying out on the freezing cold streets. Margot and I sneaked up into my room. I showed her the dog house. She opened the door and went inside. She liked it. I brought a bowl with food, and a cup with water. We went to the terrace. The soft breeze of the air was blowing on to our faces; we closed our eyes and felt the breeze. Whenever I was near to her, I had a strange feeling. It was wonderful. We went back to my room. Mother called for supper. I secretly hid a pancake from my plate and gave it to Margot. We giggled for some time and wished good night to each other. When she closed the door my wonderful feeling went away. I had my old grumpy feeling again. The next morning, I woke up early, but I dont know why. Generally I wake up late in the holidays. I went to Margots hiding place and whispered Margot, its me Samhitha. She opened the door. I gave her a new tooth brush and a tongue cleaner. We brushed together. After bath, I gave her few clothes of mine to wear.

I brought waffles for her for breakfast with a slice of butter. She enjoyed it. We sat on my soft bed and were looking at the paintings on my wall. I looked into her deep blue eyes; I still had that peaceful feeling. One day I stole a bracelet from school which was lying around instead of putting it in the lost & found box. I came home and told Margot about it. Then mother called me for milk. Then I came back up. Then I wasnt able to find my lucky charm. I asked Margot about it, she said she didnt see it anywhere. I searched for it for hours; at last Margot came to me and gave my charm. I was very happy to find it, I hugged her with happiness. Then she replied, wouldnt the owner of the bracelet be in the same condition which you were when you lost your charm. I thought about it., I understood that Margots point was right. She said the owner of this bracelet will have the same happiness, if you give her the bracelet, right? I agreed. She taught me a valuable lesson. Next day my friend was really happy to receive her bracelet back. Margot and I got closer day by day. We understood each other; she told me what is right and what is wrong. We considered each other as best friends. One day Margot asked What are you going to be when you grow up? Got no idea I replied. She said I have to think about it now, she asked which subject I like, and of course I replied Science. She told me to think about something related to science as it will be hard if I dont think about it now. I asked her what she wanted to become. She replied I want to be what is right for me, a good friend, who shows people how to live life. I said you are a good friend; I am asking what you are going to become, like a doctor, teacher so and so. You will come to know soon she replied in a satisfaction tone. I did not understand. I got tangled. Every day in the morning, I used to say Margot, Its me Samhitha. Then she used to open the little door. One fine morning I said Margot, its me Samhitha. But she did not open the door. I knocked the door and opened the door by myself, she was not there! I searched the whole house. There was no sign of her.

I nervously told my mother about what I was hiding from her. She smiled and said every day I clean the dog house and no one is there. Dont imagine, Sweety!. I got shocked, I did not get it!!! I went to my room, closed my eyes, and tried to cool myself. I heard a deep voice within myself. I understood that Margot was none other than God himself, who came for me to put me in the proper path. Thats why with Margot around I used to have a heavenly feeling. Thats why she said she wanted to be a good friend and show people how to live their life. Thats why she said I will know soon. Till now I can never forget Margot, and I always am happy and an image of God is always in my HEART.
