Dear Parents, We are now beginning our Unit of Inquiry under the organizing theme of How the World

Works. Central Idea: We experience and create stories to extend our imaginations and communicate ideas Throughout the unit, we will be inquiring into: Why stories are shared Different ways to share stories How stories provoke our thoughts and feelings

The students will have the opportunity to learn about stories by exploring the following concepts: Perspective: by understanding that a story can provoke different thoughts and different feeling to different individual Function: by understanding that stories are shared in different ways and for different reasons

The children will participate in different experiences that will allow them to extend their language, use their imagination and apply their performance skills to learn about stories and act them out in different ways. Maths and Language Integration:

How you can support at home: You can help your child solidify her/his learning by sharing different stories with them in different ways (reading, acting out, singing, etc.)
