Programming your own access card.

This is a Hu card This is a H card The first step is to make sure your programer has the correct firmware installed in it so it can communicate with your type of access card. There is no harm in flashing it over again following the instructions below. The firmware is like DOS for a computer. Firmware can also be thought of as the operating system for the device. The firmware is also commonly known as a F!"SH and it is stored on a chip called the "T#$! %e suggest using the flash &!'S as it serves a dual purpose. (ou can use it to both program and unloop a Hu card. The first step is to download a program that contains the latest firmware. )t is a .e*e file and when you run it+ it will create a DOS boot disk. (ou can then restart your computer while booting off of this new DOS disk and easily perform many firmware updates without worrying about windows com port settings+ conflicts and many error messages caused buy running DOS programs though windows. This is perfect even for %indows ,P users. (ou can down load it here Setting up your programmer

Select &!'S /option <02 and let it flash your programmer. )f you do not wish to create a DOS boot disk+ then you have the option of shelling to DOS from within %indows provided you are not using %indows ,P. (ou can download the &!'S firmware here &n=ip it and run &!'S.e*e )f you choose to shell to DOS from within %indows+ you will see a similar display as shown below.

The above photo is for firmware version 1.4 (our window will show &!'S. %hen the process is finished you can close the window. (our programmer should now have its operating system installed and be ready

%e suggest using a freeware program called $*treme Hu.
