To Whom it May Concern, I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Ms. Andrea MacMurray. I have known Ms. MacMurray for 1 years and served as her supervisor for 1 years as Assistant Director of Special Education for the Monadnock School District. Ms. MacMurray is an exceptional, knowledgeable and caring Teacher. Ms. MacMurray possesses strong interpersonal communication skills, planning abilities, knowledge of instructional techniques, knowledge of curriculum development and exceptional classroom management skills. She does an excellent job using the Response to Intervention to assess students. She has helped to create the Staff schedules for grades K-6 and has been very knowledgeable about placements of paraprofessionals in classrooms where the paraprofessional and students would be most successful. Ms. MacMurray is a self-motivated professional who demonstrates the ability to work effectively with students. She acts positively with supervisory personnel. She is dependable, supportive and a team player. She brings a sense of purpose and commitment to any task or activity she is involved in. Ms. MacMurray performs many duties as a Special Education teacher. Her responsibilities have included understanding and coordinating outside agencies to help with Special Education students programing, sits on IEP ,504 meetings, and student study teams. She also supervises other paraprofessionals. She has expanded her knowledge of current trends in special education by always being available for workshops. She is completely dedicated to the students and the school in which she works and has always been first to volunteer to help others in their projects or activities. It is with great pleasure that I recommend Ms. MacMurray for any educational position. The school and administration will be well rewarded by her service because she will make positive contributions to the academic environment.
