: Fly Guy
Equipment:
Copy of Fly Guy template per student
Paint, brushes, paper
Glue, Scissors, Crayons or colored pencils
Purpose:
Students will use paper craft and painting techniques to make a Fly Guy.
Activity:
Print and copy the Fly Guy template on card for each student.

Show the students Fly Guy and tell them that they will help to complete him by making his wings body. Talk
about the colors that they would like to use and what shapes would be good to create the wings.

Suggest a handprint that could be turned on its side to create the wings. Show the students one that you
already have prepared.

Assist the students in making their own handprint printed with ink/paint or traced and cut on colored paper.
Attach the two wings (handprints) to the back of Fly Guys body.

You could use the Fly Guys in a variety of classroom displays one idea is to prepare a bulletin board full of
Long i (y) words and your students Fly Guys. Use the prepared sign lets read words with Fly Guy for your
display.
