Shigella

Shigella is a gram negative that doesnt form spores, is non-motile and is a rod shaped too. It is another leading cause of food borne diseases and can be found in many places if food is not properly handled. These foods are

usually contaminated through cross contaminated from fecal matter.

Shigella is a bacterium that cause sudden and severe diarrhea in humans. Shigellosis is also the name of disease that causes hard sickness. One of them is known as Bacillary dysentery. USA is 3% infected by Shigella.

Most people who are infected by shigella develop diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps. While shigellosis usually resolves in five to seven days, it may be several months before an affected persons habits are entirely normal.
