Wembley Stadium, one of the biggest music venues in the UK, has played host to legends like the Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, The Killers and now, our new boy on the block: Danny Young. Were currently sat backstage with a cup of tea and some Jammy Dodgers waiting for Danny to finish having his vocals tested and its all slightly overwhelming. Well be finding out all of the updates about his indie style, his rumoured romance and his massive success!

This is crazy a flustered Danny Young exclaims having appeared in a penguin onesie; already we know this is going to be interesting. We start by quizzing him on his attire but he quickly reassures us that this, sadly, isnt what Ill be performing to the whole of Wembley Stadium in tonight. While on the topic of his clothes, we take it as an opportunity to find out a bit more about his indie style and how he has already become a major trendsetter for the young adults of today. Casually, you know, I wear what I wanna wear. Its pretty cool that people wanna dress like me but people should dress how they like, whether thats a t -shirt with Kurt Cobain snorting or their nans knitted jumper. Admittedly, were finding it difficult to take him seriously whil e he looks like a giant penguin. Anyway, he seems pretty chilled considering hes performing the biggest gig of his life in less than an hour so we seize the moment and find out everything about our up and coming 19-year-old star from Brighton.

Mm, I do love a good cup of tea Young says as he takes a sip from his rather explicit and slightly ironic mug reading lets get f**king wasted. Its pretty surreal backstage at Wembley but he doesnt seem to be fazed at all so all we want to know is how the hell he is so calm?! Well, I guess I must be good at acting because Im actually shitting myself. But, you are helping me keep my cool. We feel honoured. I just keep telling myself that everyone out there is here to see me so Ill ju st be me and hope it goes well (nervously laughs). In an attempt to calm his nerves, we decide its probably best not to talk too much about the fact that Danny is about to perform a sell-out Wembley Stadium. He literally has started from the bottom, now hes here. He went from a boy with a cute little YouTube channel to a multi-million pound rock star (sound familiar Bieber

fans?) but it hasnt been without its difficulties. Blimey, the only way to describe my journey so far without using a cringey clich is absolute madness. Everything has happened so quickly that I dont really know what happened to the part between getting signed to Domino [Recording Label] and winning a Brit award last year . If you werent already aware, Mr Danny Young is also nominated for the Sound of 2014 award so get voting kids!

Its almost time for us to go and find our seats and for Danny to perform his immense gig but we know that the one thing youve all been dying to know is whats going down with Youngs love life? Hes a 19-year-old singing sensation full of testosterone and, quite frankly, a beautiful young man so surely he has girls dropping at his feet, right? Im not gonna lie, Ive had a fair few new numbers added to my contact list (cheeky wink) I think people forget that I am actually a 19 year old lad, Im not going to just turn every girl that approaches me away like some sort of male nun. But we want to know about the girl that everyones talking about, The Broken Shields Summer King. Summers pretty cool, we have such a laugh together and shes a great girl he seems to be avoiding the subject so we put him right on the spot and ask him if theres a possible romance on the cards and like a true gent with composure he responds you never know.
