Things Youll Need: - Pen - Recording Data Chart - Number lines - Behavior Expectations Poster Lesson Opening Behavior Expectations: Eyes on the speaker Listening ears Six on the floor Respect the materials Start off by showing students the behavior expectations for the lesson. Afterwards, have students show what having six on the floor (all four legs of the chair and their feet) and having their eyes on the speaker looks like. Who can remember what number we are all trying to count up to? (14) Thats right, 14 is our magic number. Can anyone else remember what we can use to help us remember our numbers up to 14? (a number line) Yes, we can use a number lime to help us remember what number is coming next when we are counting to 14. Our target today says I can count up to 14 by ones.
