MM 4-1

Reaction Paper Last February 22, 2014 marks the last day of our seminar of all 4th year students in Marketing Management course. The last topic of the seminar was Venturing into the World of Entrepreneurship: Innovation for a Holistic Change. The event was held at Amigo Terrace hotel and it was sponsored by Marketing Management 4-3. Though the program proper didnt start on time, it was still awesome that the two speakers were able to enlighten us in the world of entrepreneur by giving their insights and telling us about their own experiences as an entrepreneur. These two speakers were Mr. Peaflorida and Mr. Contreras. Mr. Peaflorida was the owner of Fiesta. Fiesta is selling apparels specifically t-shirts and the Fiesta as the name of the restaurant in Robinson. He told us a lot of things about his company and what are the problems he encountered along the way. But he didnt start as businessman right after he graduated in school. He was an accountant and he works at San Miguel Beer Company before and lately he took Law course and passes the board exam. Mr. Contreras on the other hand is partly owner of the Bancon Company that distributes products (specifically Nestle products) in the whole region of Panay. They were good friends of Mr. Bantigue and his partner in business. We were struck when he told us about his past and how he was able to change his life and reach his dreams and what he is right now. He was a good man obviously and one of the great leaders. The venue was good, only that I dont like their food. I enjoy the ambiance, the workers, etc. only the food. For me, that was one of the great seminars I attended ever! Im not kidding. The facilitators were funny; they were very energetic and lively. Good job for them.
